page 6Fred Luedtke, 71 years of age, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Holle, 505 Second avenue, Monday night after an illness of only a few days.
Mr. Luedtke has been a resident of Clinton since 1884 when he came to America from Sydow, Germany, where he was born July 17, 1845. Mrs. Luedtke died nine years ago.
Left to mourn the death of their father are eight children. They are Carl and Emil Luedtke, Mrs. William Meinke, Mrs. William Holle, Mrs. T. Comstock of Clinton, Otto of Davenport, August of Rock Island and Fred of Chicago. Two sisters, Mrs. A. Rogahn and Mrs. William Schacht, also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and later at the German Evangelical church in charge of the Rev. E. G. Lang of Waterloo, formerly of Clinton.

page 10Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock for Fred Luedtke, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. William Holle Monday night after a brief illness. He was 70 years old. The Rev. E. J. Lang of Waterloo, former pastor of the Clinton German Evangelical church, preached the sermon.
Burial was made at Springdale cemetery. The pall bearers were Adam Damsalla, Albert Domsella, Abraham Weber, John Furgensen, John Neuman.
