Joseph C. Niesslie passed peacefully away at his residence, 226 Twelfth avenue, at 4:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, after a lingering illness. Mr. Niesslie was born in Oberhauptstadt, Wurtemberg, Germany, emigrating with his parents to this country when a child and locating later in Clinton, where he has resided continuously since 1865.

Left to mourn the loss of their father are four sons and six daughters. They are George, A. R., Andrew, Schiller, Lenore, Mrs. Will Saffer, Margaret, Emma, Catherine and Mrs. Blanche Eustice.

The funeral will be held at the home, 226 Twelfth avenue, at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with burial at Springdale cemetery.

The funeral of J. C. Niesslie will be held at the home, 226 Twelfth avenue Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in charge of the Rev. H. J. Rendall of the First Presbyterian church.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for J. C. Niesslie at his home, 226 Twelfth avenue. The Rev. H. J. Rendall of the First Presbyterian church officiated.

Florence Bergandall sang "Lead Kindly, Light", and "Rock of Ages".

Burial was made in Springdale, the following acting as pall bearers: H. Freund, W. Bonneman, J. Reiderer, P. Behan, A. Nisson, F. Obermeyer.

Out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral are: A. R. Niesslie and family of Cedar Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Will Saffer of Thomson, Ill., Dr. E. C. Eustice of Chicago.
