page 8Mrs. Frances Nonnenmacher passed away Saturday night about 12 o'clock after an illness of several months duration. Deceased was about 80 years of age. She is survived by two sons, Joseph and Marx, and two daughters, Miss Rose Nonnemacher of DeWitt and Mrs. Anna Fisang of Clinton. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's church.

page 5The funeral of the late Mrs. Frances Nonnemacher was held Tuesday morning with services at St. Joseph's church. High mass was celebrated, Father Nelson conducting the services. Bearers of the pall were John Yegge, Joseph Yegge, J. W. Yegge, William J. Bloom, Fred Bloom and J. B. Snyder. Interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Frances Yegge Nonnemacher was born at Siselyn on the Rhine, Switzerland, October 23, 1835, the eldest of a family of ten children. With her parents she came to America in 1850, living in New York and Michigan for a while and coming to Iowa in 1857. In 1858 she was married to Anton Nonnemacher, who passed away eleven years ago. To this union eight children were born, three having died in infancy. A son, John M. died in 1887. Those who survive are two sons, Joseph and Marcus, and two daughters, Miss Rose and Mrs. Matthew Fisang, all residing in DeWitt. There are also six grandchildren, two brothers, Martin Yegge of Alpena, S.D., J. K. Yegge of Chicago and two sisters, Mrs. A. Bloom of DeWitt and Mrs. Joseph Schneider of Delmar.
