After a lingering illness due to anemia, Roy Nichtom, son of Conductor and Mrs. F. J. Nichtom, passed away at the home of his parents, 408 Tenth avenue Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

The young man was born at Belvidere, Ill., 23 years ago, and came to Clinton with his parents eight years ago. He was an expert cabinet maker and was in the employ of Curtis Brothers and company until seven weeks ago when he had to give up his work on account of his health. He was educated in the public schools here, and attended the Clinton High school three years.

Roy Nichtom was popular with his business associates as he had been with his school mates, and had many warm friends among the young people of the city. He was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Nichtom, and was extremely devoted to his home and his parents. He was a young man of high ideals and a devoted member of St. Mary's church.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's and interment will be made at St. Mary's cemetery.

Out of town friends who have arrived to attend the funeral are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Klemm, Nicholas Klemmn, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Klemm, Miss Lucile Klemm and P. Klemm all of DeKalb, Ill., and Margaret Nichtom of Gibson City, Ill.

Funeral services for Roy Nichtom, 23 years old, the only son of Conductor and Mrs. F. J. Nichtom, were held at 9 o'clock this morning at St. Mary's church, in charge of Father McLaughlin.

The pall bearers were Arthur Johnson, Harry Payson, Albert Swanson, Walter Briden, Eugene Ryan, William Matzen.
