Mrs. Ellen Curnan, aged 96 years, one of the oldest resident of this city, died at her home on South Seventh street at 2 o'clock this morning, death being due to the infirmities of old age.

Deceased was born in County Kerry, Ireland, and has been a resident of Lyons for over fifty years.

Although feeble in health for some time, she has been up and around the house, and had only been confined to her bed for the past several weeks.

She had been untiringly cared for during the later years of her life by her daughter, Miss Bridget Curnan, who left nothing undone to add to her mother's comfort. Mrs. Curnan was a kindly old lady, and while she did not mingle much with the outside world, had always a cheery greeting for all who came to her home. She will be missed.

Deceased leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Miss Bridget Curnan at home, and Mrs. John Emig of Clinton.

The funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock, with services at St. Irenaeus church. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery.
