PIONEER OF CLINTON IS CALLED HOME
Mrs. Anna Trager passed away at 4 o'clock Sunday morning at her home 227 Third avenue, aged 85 years. Mrs. Trager was a pioneer of Clinton, haivng lived there 45 years. She was born in Nackenbeim, Germany, Aug. 1, 1831, and came to America with her husband, Sebastian Trager, soon after their marriage in 1854.

After a six weeks trip on the ocean, Mr. and Mrs. Trager landed at New Orleans. They came by boat up the Mississippi river to Galena, Ill., where they lived for a while and later moved to Bellevue in 1871 they came to Clinton. Mr. Trager died here three years ago.

Mrs. Trager was the mother of eleven children, eight of whom are left to survive her. The three to precede her in death were Mrs. Anna Matzen, Eva and John, all of Clinton. There is left to mourn her death Mrs. George Andrews, Mrs. Tillie Matzen, Mrs. Henry Warnecke, Mrs. B. M. Jacobsen, Sebastian and Ed of Clinton, George of Owosso, Mich. and Frank of Sterling. Sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church, with interment at St. Boniface cemetery in Lyons. Six grandchildren will act as pallbearers. They are George and Walter Andrews, Frank and Peter Matzen, Marvin and Will Jacobsen.

Funeral services were held this morning at the Sacred Heart church for Mrs. Anna Trager, who died Sunday morning at the age of 85 years. She had been a resident of Clinton for 45 years, and leaves as her survivors eight children, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Six grandsons acted as pallbearers. They were George and Walter Andrews, Marvin and Will Jacobsen, and Frank and Peter Matzen. Burial was made in St. Boniface cemetery, Lyons.
