Delmar, Ia. Aug. 3--Little Charles Lane, aged 11 years, son of Wm. Lane, died at his home southwest of Delmar Friday after a short illness of appendicitis. An operation was performed Thursday, but he was unable to withstand the shock and died Friday afternoon. Funeral services were held in St. Patrick's church Sunday afternoon with interment in St. Patrick's cemetery.
