George B. Stebbins died Sunday, June 18th, at 3:10 o'clock in the morning at the Baptist Hospital at St. Louis, Mo. He was born in this city Sept. 27, 1858. He was raised here and graduated from the Lyons High school in 1874. A couple of years after that he worked as clerk on a raft boat and shortly after went south, where he engaged in the lumber business.

He was first taken ill about a year ago. He underwent an operation and seemed to be getting along nicely. He was taken ill January 4th and was operated on for the second time, but never rallied from the operation and gradually grew worse until the end.

He leaves one sister, Miss Carrie Stebbins, who resides here. No arrangements have been made for the funeral as yet.
