page 3Elmer E. Roberts, an old time resident of Clinton, passed away at his home in Chicago last night at 6:30 o'clock. Mr. Roberts was for fifteen years a resident of Clinton, moving from here to Chicago seven years ago, where he resided until the time of his death. The remains will arrive in Clinton tonight from Chicago and will be taken to the home of L. C. Mathews on Sixth avenue. The deceased was a member of the Eagles lodge, the Modern Woodmen and the Mystic Workers.
His wife and one daughter, Mrs. John Ambrose, of Chicago are left to mourn his death.
Burial will be from St. Mary's church, where solemn high mass will be celebrated.
