Funeral services for the late Mrs. John H. Reistroffer were held yesterday morning in St. Joseph's church, conducted by Rev. Father Nugent. Bearers of the pall were T. L. Connole, John Flannery, Thomas Tiernan, Thomas Dignan, Patrick McDonald, and William Hines. Burial was made in St. Joseph's cemetery. Deceased was 55 years of age. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Frank Hoyt and Miss Clara Reistroffer, a trained nurse in Davenport, and four sons, Benjamin and John of DeWitt, Frank living on the home farm near McCausland, and one son in Minnesota. Several years ago the Reistroffer family moved from McCausland to DeWitt, and after a short residence moved back, returning again to DeWitt about three years ago, where they have since made their home. The deceased was a woman of many friends and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. Among the out of town people who were present at the funeral were a son, M. N. Reistroffer from Brewster, Minn., J. H. Reistroffer, Mr. and Mrs. N. H. Reistroffer and daughter, Luella and Mr. and Mrs. John Reistroffer of Preston, Iowa, Antone Reistroffer of Deo, Ia., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weis, Philip Reistroffer and Nick Wulf of White Lake, S. Dakota, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Goldschmidt and daughter, Elizabeth of Sabula, Ia., Nick Reistroffer of McCausland, Ia., a son Will of Eldridge, a son Frank of McCausland, a daughter, Claire, a nurse at the Davenport Hospital Training school.
