P. D. McLaughlin passed away at his home on Sixteenth avenue yesterday afternoon at about 5 o'clock, at the age of 40 years. The deceased was born in Ireland and when a young boy came to America with his parents. At the age of 10 they moved to Clinton, where he spent the greater part of his life. He had been suffering for some time with dropsy, the last attack proving fatal.

Mr. McLaughlin leaves his mother, Mrs. Ellen McLaughlin; two brothers, Michael, at home, and John, at Tama, Iowa; four sisters, Katherine and Ella McLaughlin, of Clinton; Mrs. J. Jordan of New Westminster, Canada, and Mrs. H. Levique, of Superior, Wyo.
