Mrs. August Leifer, aged 85 years, 3 months and 12 days, died Sunday night at 7:35 o'clock at the hospital at Independence, where she was taken about a year ago.

Deceased was born January 11, 1831, in West Prussia, Germany. At the age of 35 years she came to Lyons and shortly afterwards was united in marriage to Charles Leifer, who died twenty years ago. The only near relatives surviving are the Lucritz and Wolf families.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon, with a short service at the home of Ed Wolf, 828 North Seventh street, and the funeral sermon will be preached at St. John's Lutheran church by Rev. Hugo Grimm. Interment will be made in Oakland cemetery.
