George Lucke, an old resident of Clinton, passed away at 4:20 o'clock this morning at his home, 554 Railroad street, death resulting from a complication of diseases. He had been ill for several months, but had been confined to his bed only a few days.

The deceased was born in Germany 70 years ago. He came to America when a young man, and had made his home in Clinton for 45 years, working for many years at the Smith box factory.

Surviving the deceased are his mother, in Germany, his wife, one daughter, Mrs. William Praff of Moline, and two sons, Fred and Charles Lucke of this city.

The funeral will be held from the family home at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with interment in Springdale.

Mr. Lucke was a member of the local Woodmen lodge and of Walhalla lodge of Odd Fellows.
