L. O. Beans, ex-mayor of Camaanche, passed away at his home in the Clinton county town at 6:30 o'clock this morning, his death having been due to stomach and lung trouble, with which he had been afflicted for several months.

Mr. Beans was one of Camanche's best known and most respected residents, having made his home there for more than a quarter of a century. He served as mayor for two terms, the present mayor, C. B. Roman, succeeding him this spring. Mr. Beans was 59 years of age, and is survived by his wife, two sons, Albert and Louis, and four daughters, Grace, Pearl, Myrtle and Lila. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

The funeral will be held from the residence at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, with burial in Rose Hill cemetery.

Lindell O. Beans passed away at his home at Camanche, Iowa, at 6:30 a.m. Friday, April 28, 1916, after an illness of three months' duration. He was born in Randolph, Ohio, Dec. 11th, 1856.

He was united in marriage to Nellie E. Nichols March 15, 1882, and since that time has made his home in Camanche, Iowa. His wife passed away April 4, 1906.

He leaves to mourn his death two sons and four daughters, all residing at home, Elbert, Louis, Grace, Pearl, Myrtle and Lila.

The funeral was held Sunday from the family home at 2:30 p.m. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery.
