Hans Brum passed away at Mercy hospital Tuesday evening, after an illness of nearly a year's duration, caused by a complication of diseases.

Mr. Brum was an unmarried man and had made his home here since the '80s. He was employed for a number of years in the Peterson box factory, and resided at the home of Mrs. Hansen on Camanche avenue. Since his health commenced to decline he was treated at Hot Springs and elsewhere but steadily failed. An uncle who lives at Denison, Iowa, has been notified by wire of his death. He had no relatives here.

The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from Bragonier & Behr's undertaking establishment on Third street, with interment in Springdale cemetery. The German society of Clinton will have charge of the funeral.
