Word has been received by Clinton friends of the death of W. H. Adams at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alexander, in the state of Washington. Mr. Adas was well and favorably known in Clinton, having been employed for a great many years here by W. D. Walden. He was at one time postmaster at Boone and was a gentleman of the old school, was a very well educated man and had hosts of friends in Clinton and along the Northwestern line from Cliton [sic] to Boone. Since the death of his wife several years ago, he had been making his home with his daughter in Washington.
