Mrs. Eliza Douglas, an aged resident of this city, passed away this morning at the home of her niece, 615 Washington, after a few days' illness with the grippe, death being due to her illness and advanced age, she having passed her eighty-fifth birthday, March 9.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home and burial will be in Oakland cemetery. Rev. Cady will officiate.

The funeral of the late Mrs. S. Douglas was held this afternoon at two o'clock from the home at 615 Washington street, with Rev. Cady of Clinton officiating at the service.

Burial was in Oakland cemetery and during the services Miss Lundy and Miss Gladys Shadduck sang several hymns. The pall bearers were: Silas Dodge, L. F. Sutton, Matt Finch, F. C. Brayton, B. L. Waters and Wm. Houpel.
