22 February 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

Mrs. John Donnelly, nee Catherine Haley, passed away at her home, 322 Oak street, this morning at 9 o'clock after an illness of a few days' duration.

The deceased was born in Buffalo, New York, and moved to this city with her parents while a child, residing here until the time of her demise. She was united in marriage to John Donnelly, on November 25, 1881 in this city. Nine children were born to this union, seven of whom survive. They are: John of Mason City, Will of Iowa City, Edmund, Mrs. Joe Carlson, Miss Sue, Mrs. Dan Leahy and Miss Catherine of this city; two brothers, Edward Haley of this city and Charles Haley of Hayfield, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick's church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Father Murray will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mary's cemetery.

Services for the late Mrs. John Donnelly, who died at her home here Tuesday, were held at St. Patrick's church this morning at 10 o'clock, Reverend Father Murray officiating.

A large number of out of town friends and relatives of the deceased were present at the funeral. Among these were: Mrs. P. Kushnick, and Mrs. Katherine Roy of Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Thomas Carroll, and Mrs. William Rocket of Streator, Illinois; Mrs. Ed Bradley and Douglas Bradley, of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Mr. J. F. Mott and J. E. Donnelly, of Mason City.

The pall bearers were: Thomas Burke, Nat Redden, John Monahan, T. R. Murray, C. E. Schaale and John Burke.

Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery.
