Mrs. William Burtis, at 232 DeWitt street, died at 11:50 this morning after a lingering illness.

Mrs. Burtis was born in Lyons and spent her entire life in this vicinity. She was well known to a large circle of friends here, and there will be many who will sympathize deeply with the bereaved family.

Funeral arrangements will be made later.

The funeral of the late Mrs. William Burtis, whose death was announced in these columns yesterday, will be held from St. Patrick's church at 9:30 o'clock Saturday morning. Requiem mass will be celebrated and interment will be in Calvary cemetery, north of Lyons.

The deceased, nee Miss Delia Lyons, was born on a farm three miles north of Lyons in 1866. She was united in marriage with William Burtis eleven years ago last November, the family having made their home at 232 DeWitt street. Mrs. Burtis had been ailing for about eight years. She is survived by her husband, a brother, Thomas Lyons, living north of Lyons, and three sisters, Mrs. James Gaffey of Fulton, Mrs. Milo Gordon of Chicago, and Miss Jane Lyons.

Mrs. Burtis was a member of the congregation of St. Patrick's church, and of the Rosary society of that church. Her many friends in Clinton and vicinity heard of her death yesterday with sincere sorrow.
