22 January 1916 - The Clinton Advertiser

Friday afternoon at 3:10 o'clock at Mercy hospital occurred the death of Miss Rose Malloy after an illness of about three weeks, death being due to complications of diseases.

Miss Malloy was born in Lyons and had lived here all of her life. At the time of her death she was about fifty years of age. She was well known here and liked by her many friends.

The remains were taken to the home of her brother, Patrick Malloy, at Eighth avenue and Eighth street, and the funeral will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock from St. Irenaeus church with burial in Calvary cemetery.

Miss Malloy is survived by four brothers, Ed, Tom and Patrick of this city, and Jerry of Dubuque, Ia. The last named arrived here this morning and will remain until after the funeral.

The funeral of the late Miss Rose A. Malloy was held this morning from the home of her brother Patrick Malloy, on North Eighth street, to St. Irenaeus church, where requiem high mass was celebrated at 9 o'clock by Rev. James Comerford. Mrs. Frank Withhart sang "Face to Face" at the offertory. The pall bearers were Messrs Arthur McEleney, Wm. Behlke, Jas. McQuillen, John Dever, Fred Becker and Jas. Hand. Interment was made in Cavalry cemetery.
