Funeral services for John A. Kratz, 59, of 237 Main Avenue, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Snell funeral home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The body is in the funeral home where friends may call. The Army Mothers will meet in a group at 7:30 o'clock this evening in the funeral home. Women of the Moose will meet at 7:30 o'clock this evening in the funeral home.

Mr. Kratz was born Feb. 9, 1892, near Chadwick, Ill., the son of John and Katherine Kratz. He attended the rural schools, and came to Clinton 25 years ago. He was married to Helen Jones in 1915. In 1945, he was married to Lillie Griebel. He was employed for 24 years by the Clinton Water Works company, where he was an engineer at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Robert, of Camanche, Russell and John of Clinton; a daughter, Mrs. John (Mildred) Weller of Escondido, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Zemke, of Sterling, Ill., and Mrs. Frank Pontnak, of Polo, Ill.; his mother, in Sterling, Ill.; several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, and one son, Randall.
