Randall Eugene Kratz was born May 7, 1926, in Leola, South Dakota. He was the son of John A. Kratz and Mrs. Helen Brieske. He served three years in the navy and was discharged in March. Educated in Mt.Carmel, Ill., and Clinton public schools, he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Snell funeral home where the body will repose Sunday. The Rev. M. F. Lesher, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial park.

Surviving besides his parents are a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Mildred) Perryman; two brothers, Robert and Russell; three half-brothers John E. Kratz and Marvin and Paul Brieske, and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Katherine Kratz.
