The funeral will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday in Clinton Memorial Chapel of Clinton Memorial Funeral Home, for George Still, 87, of 2390 Dunham St. Mr. Still, former mayor of Clinton, died Monday in Mercy Hospital.

The Rev. Paul O. Pfaltzgraff of First United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. today.

Pallbearers will be Arnold Dosland, Marvin Carlson, James Hass, Ronald Andresen, Henry Fries, and Lyle Sullivan. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee White, Edward Obermiller, William Andresen, Harold Nelson, William Keister and Donald Lundgren.

Mr. Still was born July 29, 1895, in Fulton, Ill., to Alex and Margaret Feldt Still. He married Hilda Krebs in Clinton May 24, 1916. She died in 1981. He was educated in Fulton schools and had lived in the Clinton area most of his life. He had owned and operated Still Grocery Store for 48 years.

He was a past mayor and councilman and was the oldest living mayor. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Emulation Lodge 255, OES 65 and was a 1943 past master of York Rite Bodies and Consistory.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marion) Anderson of Clinton; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Riggs of Rockford, Ill., and a brother, Harry Still of Clinton.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, a son, a great-grandson, three brothers and two sisters.
