Peter Remrey, 68, of 267 20th Ave. N., died at 5:50 a.m. June 10, 1961, in Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. The body will repose in the Pape funeral home where friends may call after 7 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. Philip Muth, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

He was born in Clinton, March 17, 1893, the son of Charles and Lottie Sjogren Remrey. He married Irene Matthiesen February 16, 1918 in Clinton.

He was a veteran of World War I, and a retired engineer of the Clinton Water Works. He was a member of the Oddfellows, Lyons Club and Clinton Recreation Commission. He was past president of the Lyons School Board and past commander of the Ex-Servicemen's Association.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George (Petrea) Fromang of clinton; one son, Ronald of Clinton; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Della Cleppe of LeRoy, MN; Mrs. Irene Yoekel of Sterling, IL; Mrs. Elsie Glenn of Mount Morris, IL; Isabelle Streicher of Savanna, IL; Mrs. Mae Clevedence of Savanna, IL, eight brothers, Frank of clinton; bill of Andover, Ed of DeWitt; Toby of Eleroy, IL; Henry of Dixon, IL; Mark of Mount Carroll, IL; Adelbert of Dixon, IL; and Charles of Thomson, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Memorials may be given to the cancer and heart funds.
