The Clinton Herald Monday November 24, 1913 p 8 Jurgen Jurgensen passed away at his home, 819 South Eighth street Sunday evening, after an illness of two weeks. The cause of death was lung fever. Though a resident of this city but a short time, he is well known and has many friends in this city. Mr. Jurgensen was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, November 26, 1842, had he lived until Wednesday, he would have been seventy-one years of age. In 1882 he came to this country and settled in Fulton, Ill., where in 1885 he was united in marriage to Miss Agatha Brandt, who passed away the following year. In 1887 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna M. Hansen, to them were born two children. With his family in 1892, he moved to Charlotte, where he engaged in farming until 1912, when he removed to this city where he has since resided. The deceased is survived by his wife and two sons, Henry and Herman Jurgensen of this city. The funeral will be held Wednesday from the family residence. Rev. Hugo Grimm of St. John's Luthern church, which will have charge of the services.
