The Clinton Herald Monday October 11, 1926 p 6 Alexander Hughes, age 79 years, died yesterday of pneumonia after having been ill at Mercy hospital. The body is held at the Clarke Undertaking establishment, pending word from relatives who are believed to be at Bay View, Miss. Mr. Hughes was a familiar figure about Clinton, staying here for several at a time, then going away for visits elsewhere. He had been here continuously since July.
