The Clinton Herald Friday August 2, 1935 p 10 Mrs. Amelia Urban, a former Sabula resident for 25 years, died July 20 in her home at Ida Grove, according to word received here by friends. Mrs. Urban, formerly Amelia Kraft, was born in Lippoldsberg, Germany, May 17, 1849. She came to Sabula, from Germany in 1867. In 1869 she was married to William Henry Urban. To this union nine children were born. Charles, the second son, died in infancy and Henry, the eldest died in 1931. Her husband succumbed July 18, 1908. The Urbans moved from Sabula to Clinton in 1892 and three years later to Ida Grove, where she has since lived. Four sons and three daughters mourn her passing, namely, John H., William Albert and Paul E., all residing in and near Ida Grove, Mrs. Marie Oake of Edmunds, Wash., Mrs. Lena Welding of Ida Grove and Mrs. Louise Petersen of Huron, S.D. Thirty-three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held in Ida Grove in the Lutheran church July 22.
