Death of H. P. Hobein

H. P. Hobein died at his home in this city at 5:30 Sunday evening after an illness of several weeks, aged 75 years. He was one of the early settlers in Clinton County and a citizen who was highly esteemed by all. Deceased was born in Germany on August 29, 1816, and in 1854 he moved to Rock Island, Ill. coming to Lyons the following year. He was married in 1842 to Miss J. H. Flagg, who died in this city on December, 1878. Four children are left to mourn the death of a kind parent, Mrs. George Buechner, Henry A., William C., and Charles A. The funeral is announced for Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock.
