Lester Howard Schofield, Sr., 82, was called home March 30, 2017 in Rock Island, IL. There will be a celebration of life ceremony from 11AM-3PM, Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Church of the Open Door, 13th Ave. North, Clinton, IA.
Les was born October 5, 1934 in Kansas City, MO to Estella and George Schofield. Les served in the US Army and achieved the Rank E4. On February 9, 1964, he married Elizabeth Ann Davis. Les was a member of the Amvets, the American Foreign Legion, Christian Coalition, Special Olympics, NRA, Church of the Open Door, Republican Central Community, AARP, PEP, Christian Association of Prime Time and was a long time resident of Clinton, IA.
Survivors include his loving companion Mary Jo Snowden; son Lester Howard Schofield, Jr.; daughter Jolinda Sue Schofield Burke; daughter Leslie Ann Schofield West; son Christopher Allen Schofield; many grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brother and many nieces and nephews.
