William H. "Bill" Miller, age 91 of Clinton, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Mercy Living Center South. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 18th at the Pape Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Tim Dixon, Brian Dixon, David Dixon, Tom Waters, Pat Waters, Dan Waters, and Todd Jost. Honorary casket bearers will be Ron Dixon and Robert Jost.
Bill was born on May 20, 1925 in Almont, Iowa, the son of Henry and Ethel (Struve) Miller. He graduated from Miles High School. Bill married Joan M. Pestka on April 11, 1959 in Clinton. Joan passed away in 1981. Bill had been employed at Nitron Company and at Chemplex, from where he retired after 18 years of service. He was a member of the former St. Boniface Church. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy, tractor pulls, and driving north each fall to see all the color changing leaves.
Bill is survived by two children; a daughter, Paulette (Randy) Lynch of Clinton; a son, Michael (Tracey) Miller of Slatington, PA; five grandchildren; Alicia Lynch, Daniel Weeks, Matthew Weeks, Keegan Miller and Seamus Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister, Ella. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com.
