The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, January 9, 1885

Our readers will be grieved to learn of the death of Daniel Gray, a former citizen of Clinton, and one of her pioneer barristers. A dispatch received by his son Wednesday night conveyed the sad information. Mr. Gray, when his health began to fail, removed to Florida, where he purchased a plantation, intending to remain in the pleasant climate. He leaves two daughter, Jennie, who was with him in his last illness, and Mrs. Jerome Bignall, of this city, and a son James, a clerk at the Gerhard House in this city.
