MILLICENT "MILLIE" CLARK, 80, of Clinton, IA, died Sunday, February 12, 2017 at The Alverno Health Care Facility, in Clinton.

Per Millie's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation; a private family memorial and graveside service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Clinton. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Fulton, IL is in charge of arrangements.

Millie was born March 6, 1936 in Cambridge, MD to Herman E. and Mary A. (McDonald) Travers. She was educated in the Baltimore County Grade and High Schools in Baltimore, MD. She married Howard W. Clark Jr. on March 14, 1954 in Baltimore. He died on August 28, 2002. Millie was a homemaker. She was a member of Community Reformed Church in Clinton and was a member of the church's Ladies Guild. Millie enjoyed playing bridge. A memorial to Community Reformed Church has been established.

Survivors include one daughter, Susan (Ken) Nissen of Camanche, IA; two sons, Howard (Holly) Clark III of Geneva, IL and Larry (Tonya) Clark of Benton, AR; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Ethel Crusse of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Jack (Shirley) Travers of Baltimore, MD.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; four sisters, Brenda Finn, Dorothy Phillips, Margaret Berenbrok, and Edith Cardwell; three brothers, Dennis, Edward and Andrew "Bud" Travers. - See more at: http://obituaries.clintonherald.com/story/millicent-clark-1936-2017-875593982#sthash.a9Uzglrr.dpuf
