John W. "Jack" Niebuhr age 78 of Clinton, passed away Wednesday Feb. 8, 2017 at the Mercy Living Center North. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday Feb. 13th at St. John Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held Sunday
2 - 4 PM at the Pape Funeral Home and Monday 9:30 AM until the service hour at the church. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be his nephews. Memorials are to be given to St. John Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com

John was born on Feb. 18, 1938 in Clinton, the son of Herman and Bernice (Danielsen) Niebuhr. He graduated from Clinton High School. Jack worked at the Clinton Community School District as a custodian for many years. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

Jack is survived by his brother, Eugene (Helen) Niebuhr of Clinton; three sisters, Marian Enwright of Clinton, Donna (David) Chatfield of Bloomington, MN, and Carol (Wes) Stuedemann of Camanche; and several nieces & nephews.
