Dennis M. "Duds" Malli, age 69 of Clinton, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center North. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Prince of Peace Parish. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Prince of Peace. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Denny was born in Clinton on December 8, 1947, the son of James E. and Grace (Schmidt) Malli, Jr. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1966 and later from Clinton Community College. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Denny married Nancy Nelson on December 20, 1969 in Clinton. He was employed with Lyondell-Basell, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, Kiwanis Club, and the Fulton Country Club. He enjoyed golfing and woodworking and loved socializing with family and friends.

Denny is survived by his wife Nancy; two children, Bradley (Heather) Malli of Bettendorf and Carrie (Luis) Montestruque of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas, Armando and Miguel; a brother, David Malli of Clinton and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Ronald and James.
