The Clinton Age, Clinton, Iowa, April 18, 1884

Mr. Jeremiah Smith, a well-known and highly respected farmer living near Camanche, was found dead in his bed, Sunday morning having been stricken suddenly with heart disease. He leaves a wife and family to mourn the loss of a devoted and affectionate husband and parent.

Mr. Will Smith, proprietor of the Northwestern Marble Works of this city, is his son. The funeral, which took place on Tuesday was largely attended.
