Lawrence (Larry) E. Hackett, 96, of Clinton passed away, Wednesday, February 2, 2017 at The Alverno- Clinton.
There will be no visitation or services. The Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with the cremation. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.
Lawrence E. Hackett was born November 20, 1920 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Frank P. and Gertrude (Kating) Hackett. He was a graduate of Clinton High School. Lawrence served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946 during World War II as an Aviation Machinist.
He married Pauline Bartz in 1947.
He worked for Clinton Corn Processing as a machinist and foreman.
He is survived by two daughters: Kathy (Vincent) Hackett-Feltner of Punta Gorda, Florida and Joyce Hackett of Laharpe, Illinois; one brother Robert Hackett of Clinton; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Nicholas J. Luskey, 22, of Fulton, passed away, Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Iowa City, Iowa.

A candlelight vigil will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 7:00pm at his home 21209 Balk Lane - Fulton. A complete obituary will be in Saturday's Clinton Herald.
