Tyler J. Steeg, 22, of Clinton, passed away, Saturday, November 26, 2016 on a boating accident in the Mississippi River.

The family will greet friends from 1:00-3:00pm, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes & Crematory. Private family burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed by visiting his obituary at www.snellzornig.com.

Tyler Joseph Steeg was born on December 27, 1993 in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Scott and Melissa (Clark) Steeg. He was a 2012 graduate of Clinton High School.

Tyler was employed at Clinton Wilbert Vault Company for the past four years. He enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing and racing his mud bogs.

Tyler is survived by his mother: Melissa Sturtz of Fulton, Illinois, his father: Scott (Lori Pladna) Steeg of Miles, Iowa, his brother: Kyle Steeg of Clinton, his sister: Kelsey Steeg of Fulton; his maternal grandmother: Shirley Clark of Clinton, his paternal grandmother: Ada Steeg of Clinton; his paternal great-grandmother: Hazel Sturtz of Clinton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Donald Clark, paternal grandfather: Mark Steeg, his paternal great-grandparents, his cousin: Hannah Birt-Steeg, and his friend: Keegan Rasmussen.
