Irma May Clark, 89, of Maquoketa, formerly of Delmar, Clinton, & Camanche, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, in Maquoketa Care Center. Funeral services were held at 2:30 pm Monday at the Carson & Son Funeral Home with the Rev Clair Odell of the First United Methodist Church, Maquoketa, officiating. Visitation was from 1 pm until service time on Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar, Iowa. Pallbearers will be grandchildren, Chris Smith, Rhonda Adams, Tom Christofferson, Don & Terry Clark & Jessie Kline.

She was born December 25, 1909, in Jackson County, to Harvey & Cora Arterberry Manning. She married Walter Dale Clark, July 22, 1929, Clinton. He died May 4, 1972. She was a licensed practical nurse & had owned & operated a custodial care home in Delmar for 8 years. She & her husband lived in Clinton, following their retirement. She is survived by 2 daughters, Darlene (& Bill) Benson of Thompsen, Illinois, & Mona (& Tom) Christoffersen of Camanche, 6 sons, Dale (& Honor), Bob (& Mary), Gerald (& Joann), & Ron (& Iva) all of Maquoketa, Don & Elmer (&Chris) both of Hazel Green, Wisconsin, a brother, Frank (&Gloria) Manning of Maquoketa, 35 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren & several great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 brothers, 5 sisters & 3 grandchildren.
