Elmer V. Clark, 69, of Dubuque, and formerly of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Elmer Vade Clark was born on February 19, 1947 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Walter Dale and Irma Mae (Manning) Clark. He grew up in the Maquoketa area and attended Maquoketa schools.

He married Mary Christene Musch on March 16, 1973 in Mt. Carroll, Illinois.

Elmer had worked for National Bi-Products for over 25 years, first as a truck driver in Clinton and for almost 20 years as a supervisor in Hazel Green, Wisconsin.

Elmer was a member of the Bible Baptist Church in Dubuque. He enjoyed drag racing, boating, fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Those left to honor Elmer's memory include his wife, Mary Clark of Dubuque, IA; children, Troy Clark of Camanche, IA, Brian Clark of Clinton, IA, Kelly Clark of Clinton, IA, Terry (Josie) Clark of Grand Mound, IA, and Curtis (Stacey) Clark of Conway, AR; brothers, Robert (Mary) Clark of Zwingle, IA, Ronald (Iva) Clark of NM, and Jerry (JoAnn) Clark of Maquoketa, IA; sisters, Darlene (David) Densmore of Camanche, IA, and Mona (Tom) Christoffersen of Camanche, IA; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Don and Dale.

A celebration of Elmer's life will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, April 11, 2016 from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10 A.M. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar, Iowa.
