ALBANY- Duane H. Bracke, 67 formerly of Prophetstown, died Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at home.

Duane was born on October 27, 1949 in Geneseo, the son of Hubert and Gertrude (Tillie) Bracke. He married Kathryn Maes on January 23, 1971 in Prophetstown. Duane farmed for over 20 years and was employed by Rock River Lumber and Grain for 17 years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Prophetstown.

Survivors include his wife, Kathryn; three daughters, Kimberly (Brian) Perkins of Ft. Garland, CO, Dawn (Brian) Tiesman of Port Byron, IL, and Heather (Doyal) McCoy of Elk Grove, CA; one son, Adam (Stephanie) Bracke of Elizabethtown, PA; one sister, Beverly (Neal) Olinger of Annawan, IL and five grandchildren, Addison and Lauren Tiesman and James, Celeste McCoy and Abigail Bracke.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 9:15-10 AM with the rosary recited at 9 AM at the St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Prophetstown. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. at the church with the Reverend Zdzislaw Francis Wawryszuk, Celebrant.
