OBITUARY: Mrs. Bertha Winter
Mrs. Bertha Winter died at 8:30 o’clock last evening in her home, 426 Fifth avenue North. Funereal services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock I the home, followed by services at 3:30 o’clock in the Zion Lutheran church. The Rev. George W. Krueger, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The body reposes I the home, where friends may call. Bertha Huebner was born Jan 17, 1851, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Helmont Huebner, in Pollnow, Germany. She was married to William Winter in September, 1874, with whom she came to Clinton in 1882. Her husband preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1911. She is survived by the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Anna Marske and Mrs. Emma Zickau of Clinton, Mrs. Pauline Dege, Davenport, Otto Winter, Mrs. Alma Reushe and Mrs. Elizabeth Jaeger of Clinton: one brother, Albert Huebner an one sister, Mrs. Hulda Winkel of Clinton, twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
