William A. Winter

William A. Winter, 442 First avenue, died at 1:30 o’clock this morning in his home after a month’s illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Snell funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The body reposes in the funeral home. William August Winter, son of Herman and Augusta Winter, was born Feb 22, 1869, in Germany and was baptized and confirmed in the Luthern faith before coming to the United States. He was married to Miss Carrie C. Lund, Feb. 22, 1905 in Davenport. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. J. L. Schulz, Milwaukee, and Barbara L. Winter, Clinton; seven sons, Walter L. Harold C. Fredrick J, Karl R, Henry B, Robert M, and Albert C Winter, all of Clinton; One sister, Mrs. Martha Fath, Bloomington, Ill.; one brother, Emil Winter, Clinton, and six grandchildren. A son William, died in 1937.

Mr. Winter was a member of the Clinton Turner Society and of Wapsie serie, 705, FOE. .
