OBITUARY: Wilhelmine Huebner
Mrs. Wilhelmine Huebner, aged 101 years, a resident of Clinton a half century, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Winkle, 430 Oak Street, at 11 O’clock Saturday night following an illness that extended over one month duration. Up until time Mrs. Huebner enjoyed wonderful health and was as active as a woman 40 years younger. She was born in Germany, July 25, 1821, and came to Clinton with her husband and a family of five boys and girls about 50 years ago. Only the death of her Mrs. Huebner has broken the family circle. All the children are residents of Clinton, where they too have reared families that looked upon their beloved mother as the head of a cycle of 79 descendants. The five children are Mrs. Fred Winkle, Mrs. William Winter, Albert Huebner, Rhinehart Huebner, and Herman Huebner. The grand children number 26, the great grandchildren 46 and the great great-grandchildren two. Funeral services will be held at the home, Tuesday afternoon at 2 O’clock and later at the German Lutheran church. Rev. A. Hein will officiate. Burial will be made in Springdale cemetery.
