Andrew M. Andresen was born December 8, 1863, in Germany and came to this country with his sister, Mrs. Milton Edleman, in 1885. He made his home in Welton, Iowa, and spent most of his life within Clinton county.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church while in Germany.

He never married.

His death came on March 1st, 1947, at 8:45 p.m. at the home of his nephew and niece, Mr. and Mrs. Lorenz Hansen, Clarence, Iowa, where he had gone to spend the winter.

Mourning his passing are his sister, Mrs. Edleman, one sister and two brothers in Germany and a host of nieces and nephews. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

Services were held at the Presbyterian church at Lost Nation, with Rev. N. C. Andresen of Letts assisting Rev. Manning of Lost Nation. Burial was made at the Lost Nation cemetery on March 4.
