Doris M. Lyman, 85, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Mercy Living Center- South.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes and Crematory. Burial will be in the Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jaime Boling, Quintin Lyman, Bryan Babcock, Thomas Bornsen, Gary Menard and Donald Cruse. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathaniel Boling, David Bunn and Garry Claussen. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the service hour at the funeral home.

Doris Marie Kinkaid was born September 26, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa, the daughter of David and Dagny (Anderson) Kinkaid. She married the love of her life Lawrence “Larry” Lyman on July 19, 1947 in Princeton, Iowa; he preceded her in death on August 8, 1991.

Doris was a homemaker. She loved to dance. She enjoyed camping, being outdoors, gardening, cooking, crocheting and watching her soap operas. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Cindy Lou (Steven) Jurgersen of Clinton, Larry Jay Lyman of Clinton, Robert (Don) Lyman of Clinton, David Scott (Ashley) Bunn of Savanna, Illinois and Garry Lee (Jane) Claussen of Muscatine, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; four sisters: Arlene (Bill) Reid of Clinton, June (Leland) Thompson of Clinton, Ruth Ann White of Maquoketa and Laurie (Lawrence) Heath of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Doris was preceded in death by two daughters: Debbie Ann Whitmore and Susan Kay Lyman; one son: Lawrence J. Lyman, Jr.; one brother and one sister.
