Loren D. “Sikky” Sikkema age 64 of Fulton, IL, passed away Saturday Nov. 26, 2016 at Mercy North Medical Center in Clinton. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, Dec. 4th from 3 – 6 PM at Rastrelli’s in the Avanti Room in Clinton. The Pape Funeral Home, Clinton is assisting the family. Memorials may be given to the Fulton EMS Services in Fulton. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Loren was born on Aug. 28, 1952 the son of Russell and Darlene (Bielema) Sikkema. He was educated in the Fulton school district graduating from Fulton High School in 1970 were, he excelled on the football team. He received his B.A. Degree from the University of Dubuque in 1974 were he also played on the football team. After college Loren worked as a production manager for various companies in the Freeport and Rockford areas. Loren's joys in life were fishing, his golden retrievers, the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago Bears, his many trips to the Indy 500 races with his dear friends, a WWII book and WWII movie. It goes with-out saying that Loren's most precious gem in life was his daughter Amanda. Loren is survived by his parents, Russell and Darlene Sikkema of Fulton, IL; two brothers, Jon (Cecelia) Sikkema of Fulton, IL and Scott Sikkema of Chicago, IL; and four nieces and nephews, Justin, Jessica, Jerry, and Joce. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda and his grandparents.
