Jacob D. Goebel age 31 of Clinton passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from injuries received in an automotive accident in Illinois. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Pape Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be held at a later date in St. Irenaeus Calvary Cemetery. Jacob was born in Clinton on June 10, 1985, the son of Robert A. and Rebecca J. (Eble) Goebel. He attended Fulton and Clinton Schools graduating from Clinton High School. He received his AA degree in Computer Technology from DeVry Institute. Jacob married Maggie Bice on October 15, 2011 in Clinton. He loved his job and fellow employee’s at Carroll Industrial Molds, Inc. Milledgeville, IL. He was a loving husband, father and son. Jacob had a great love for his family, music, golfing, and playing his guitar. He was a tech savoy guy who had built his own computer. Jacob is survived by the love of his life and best friend, his wife Maggie; the light of his life, his daughter, Olivia; and the twinkle is his eye, his unborn child. Also surviving are his mother, Becky (Mark) Regenwether of Albany, IL; his grandmother, Lois (Robert) Bock of Clinton; a step-brother, Joe (Abby) Regenwether of Albany; two step-sisters, Elise (Karl) Greve of Clinton and Jacie (Adam) Wherry of Fulton; his mother-in-law, Sandy Bice of Clinton; two sister’s-in-law, Kristen Bice and her fiancé Corey Robinson of Clinton and Ashley Bice of Sisters, OR and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
