David P. “Catfish” Dohrn age 57 of Clinton passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his daughter’s home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Thad, Ryan, Brandon, Seth, Gabe and Adam Dohrn, Nikki Grosso, John “Bubx” Dohrn and Duke Dohrn. Honorary casket bearers will be his grandchildren. David was born in Clinton on February 4, 1959, the son of Wilford and Lois (Paetow) Dohrn. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1977. David married Donita Vulich on October 7, 1978 in Clinton. He had farmed and worked construction for various local contractors. David was a member of the Eagles Club, Duck’s Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Whitetails Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. He lived for his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and quoting lines from movies. David is survived by two children; Melissa Dohrn (Don LeRoux) and David (Tara) Dohrn both of Clinton; nine grandchildren, Aleina, Keona, Davian, Avery, Ashtyn, Kaylee, Donavin, Emma and Magnus; two brothers, Robert (Julie) Dohrn and JD (Diana) Dohrn both of Clinton and nieces and nephews.
