Carla Ann Heaivilin, age 62, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at the Pape Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Carla was born in Clinton on October 13, 1953, the daughter of Jerome K. and Bonnie L. (Hoffman) Brown. She graduated from Clinton High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Clinton Community College. She married Dennis Heaivilin in July of 1975 in Clinton. Dennis preceded her in death. Carla loved and adored her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed weekend road trips, vacationing, knitting and tending to her garden, especially her roses. Carla is survived by her longtime companion David Green of Clinton; three children, Amanda H. (Andy) Heitzenroder of Clinton, Erik (Jennifer) Heaivilin of Bondurant, IA, and Kenneth Heaivilin of St. Joseph, MO; 15 grandchildren; her sister, Mary (David) Wiest of Clinton and nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a daughter Denise.
