Donal J. Dierks age 90 of Clinton, passed away Tuesday Sept. 6, 2016 at Mercy North Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday Sept. 9th at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Visitation will be held Friday 10:00 AM until the service hour at the church. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Burial will be at Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Brian, David, Michael, Scott, Alex, Cody Dierks, and Jerimy Galetti. Online condolences may be left at www.papefh.com. Donal was born on Oct. 22, 1925 in Clinton, the son of Jerry and Alfrieda (Naeve) Dierks. He married Joan Meyer on May 20, 1945 in Charlotte, she died April 8, 2015. Donal was a farmer and worked for the Naeve Hybrid for over 20 years. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Charlotte and the Eagles Club in Clinton. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards. Donal is survived by his daughter, Susan Galetti of Clinton; 5 grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Dierks, David (Lianna) Dierks, Michael (Jolene) Dierks, Scott (Tina) Dierks, and Jerimy Galetti; 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Darline Bielenberg of Goose Lake. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Allen, and a brother, Robert.
